FROM THE DEAN:
Tempus Fugit. For those who are not lovers of Latin-time flies. Here it is, 2016, and the program year is half over. Time is such avaluable commodity these days; we turn around and find ourselves wondering where it all goes, just like our monthly paychecks.
I would like to thank the people in this chapter that give of their time; whether serving on the board, hosting meetings, or performing one of the numerous jobs needed in order to provide us with an organization that supports the glorious art of organ and choral music.
I would like to thank the members that give of their time and attend the monthly meetings; they provide the camaraderie and energy that helps us all carry on.
So to all of our chapter members, consider giving your time join us for a meal and meeting, volunteer for playing at the Bachathon, the French Festival, the May member’s recital, or start that certification process. It is time well spent.
Our next meeting is at St. Paul’s Episcopal, KCMO, and will feature Widor’s Symphonie V and the Schola Cantorum performing the Messe Solenelle by Vierne and Four Motets by Dupre.

Martin Ward, a former member of the chapter, would like to donate his home organ to a church or individual. A photo from the brochure for it is attached. It is a 2-manual Rodgers 700 series, purchased on 12/12/98 for $10,000 from Contemporary & Classic Church Organs of KCMO. The model number is 751 I. It has a surge suppressor with indicators, 3 outlets/direct plug in, and headphones with 1/4" adaptors. Moving it would be the responsibility of whomever receives it. Jan Kraybill’s Super Bowl Sunday Recital 17: INTERSECTIONS
At life’s intersections – of differing faiths, concepts, and cultures; of science and religion; of sports and the arts; of human and Divine – lie wonderful opportunities for learning and creativity. The pipe organ itself is a result of the intersection of ancient organ building techniques, in use over 800 years ago, and current technology, invented since the turn of this century. Come hear the musical results of some most interesting intersections! Community of Christ Auditorium, 1001 W Walnut St, Independence, MO 64050.
